👋 Hey there. I’m Carla and I’m all about some digital detox and digital wellness!

And this is my 9-year-old sidekick in life (and glitter-based messes).
For the past two years, we’ve been on a mission:
Less screen time. More real time.

It started with a simple idea:
What if we stopped letting screens eat up every quiet moment?
What if we actually made space for adventures, belly laughs, and eye contact that lasted longer than 2 seconds?

Well… spoiler alert: we did. And now we’re sharing everything we’ve learned.

🌱 Why We Started Our Digital Detox

Like most families, we didn’t plan to get buried in screens.
It just kind of… happened.

One minute we were watching one little video, and the next?
We were six episodes deep into hamster obstacle course compilations on YouTube.
(If you know, you know.)

The days felt louder, but somehow less connected.
So we hit reset.

Was it awkward at first? Yes.
Did we slip up? Often.
Was it worth it? 1000% yes.

Little by little, we built new habits. Habits that made life feel lighter, funnier, and way more real.

💫 What’s Changed? (Hint: Basically… Everything)

The transformation? Let’s just say even our dogs noticed.

🐾 More walks. More belly rubs. Less “hang on, I’m just finishing this email.”

👧 More inside jokes and glitter crafts with my daughter (somewhere, there’s a unicorn made entirely of googly eyes)

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 More laughter at dinner. More connection with family.
People actually feel when we’re present now.

And here’s the wild part:
We don’t feel deprived.
We feel free.
